Cranberry Apple Crisp

peeled sliced apples (5 medium)

5 cups

|
fresh or frozen cranberries
|
1-1/2 cup
|
|
|
sugar
|
1 cup
|
|
|
flour
|
2 tbsp.
|
|
|
cinnamon
|
1 tsp.
|
|
|
Topping
|
|
|
|
rolled oats
|
1 cup
|
|
|
firmly packed brown sugar
|
1/2 cup
|
|
|
flour
|
1/3 cup
|
|
|
butter
|
1/3 cup
|
|
|
chopped nuts (optional)
|
1/2 cup
|
|
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease an 8x12-inch, 2-quart baking dish. In a large bowl,
combine all ingredients except Topping. Toss to coat fruit. Spoon into a baking dish. Sprinkle
Topping evenly over fruit mixture. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and apples are
tender. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
In a small bowl, combine rolled oats, brown sugar, and flour. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in nuts.
