Cranberry Apple Crisp


peeled sliced apples (5 medium) 5  cups  
fresh or frozen cranberries 1-1/2  cup  
sugar 1  cup  
flour 2  tbsp.  
cinnamon 1  tsp.  
Topping    
rolled oats 1  cup  
firmly packed brown sugar 1/2  cup  
flour 1/3  cup  
butter 1/3  cup  
chopped nuts (optional) 1/2  cup  


Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease an 8x12-inch, 2-quart baking dish. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except Topping. Toss to coat fruit. Spoon into a baking dish. Sprinkle Topping evenly over fruit mixture. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and apples are tender. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. In a small bowl, combine rolled oats, brown sugar, and flour. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in nuts.
