Our Mission Statement
Women Today Magazine is an Internet publication for the women of the world. We offer general-interest information about issues that affect our lives every day: health and beauty, spirituality, finances, relationships, career, fitness, home, parenting, marriage, fashion and more. This information, while broad-based, is offered from a Christian perspective. We believe that every woman's life is a gift from God and that a personal relationship with Him will provide them with meaning, purpose and significance.
Our Audience
Statistics indicate that our visitors tend to be engaged in a career, are moderately to highly computer-literate and are usually over the age of eighteen. Many of our visitors log on from the workplace and many find us as a result of commercial women's networks and search engines.
Our Approach
We select articles that will appeal to a global audience. These articles must be uplifting, informative and pertinent to modern women. Articles--with the exception of Life Stories-do not need to have specific Christian content. However, the tone and content of every story will reflect a Christian viewpoint.
Writing Style
We generally publish journalistic, nonfiction items only. Life Stories are an autobiographical account of one woman's personal encounter with Jesus Christ and the resulting positive changes in her life. The advice column is written by a licensed family counsellor.
Compensation
Women Today Magazine is a nonprofit operation and as such is unable to pay for articles. We do not carry advertising for revenue. Publication on our site offers contributors international exposure and we are always happy to consider link/banner/button exchanges for contributors with their own Internet sites.
Queries and Submissions
Please precede any submission with a query letter and brief synopsis, including writer biographical information/credits. Please note that any submissions not preceded by a query letter will be deleted unread. This may be submitted by email (click here) or, if necessary, by conventional post (to Editor, Women Today Online, P.O. Box 300, Stn "A" Vancouver, BC, Canada V6C 2X3). Email queries and submissions are preferred. Submissions must be compatible with Windows 98/PC, WordPerfect 8 (or earlier), must be in standard manuscript format, and--if sent by post--must be on a diskette.
